Comiso

Half day tour – up to 2 hours

The town of Comiso, situated in a hilly district, is the birthplace of the writer Bufalino. It has a 18th century look with beautiful buildings and artworks.

The city tour starts from Piazza Fonte Diana with the neoclassical fountain fed by the same waters that in Roman times were used for the Roman thermae. We will continue with Piazza delle Erbe, the mother church of St. Maria delle Stelle, the Market and the library donated by the writer Bufalino to his native country. We will conclude the tour with the visit of the church of St. Francesco with its beautiful Naselli chapel, the church of St. Biagio, the Aragonese Castle turned into a noble mansion by the Nasellis.
